The scientific term for this mental growth in capacity is Neuroplasticity that is stimulated in an environment of inquisitive wonder, a strong sense of purpose, robust will, physical activity and a peaceful mindset. As the frequency of the pathways are increased this behavior leads to unconscious, intuitive method that we refer to as yes you guessed it "Mastery". In life this process is evident in cooking, sports, art, business, self growth, and can be seen in nature from the micro to the macro. Historically different disciplines of study refer to this conscious will to unconscious beauty by many names. In business and organizations lets refer to this methodology as belief, habit and sustained performance.

A truly principal element to this process is the potent distinction in our belief lending itself to an aligned intention . Intention consistently drives our thoughts and actions . Cognitive dissonance occurs when actions go against beliefs causing great discomfort, propelling a person to rationalize and avoid in order to find balance. Fear shuts people down mentally and physically makes them rigid , less empathic or engaged in a collective process. Culture is what happens when no one is watching. Good or bad. A strong Culture with behavioral integrity forms traction in a trusting, safe and supportive environment where a leader is an expert in his teams individual strengths, who can be very distinct in the values and embodies the belief system visually and with heart felt consistency. Leaders by definition always go first, take the most risk and show the strongest principles, they will do this consistently and their team/tribe will reward them with their admiration, loyalty and commitment. An individual who does not actualize these attributes are not leaders but are mere authorities, diminishing and destroying engagement, they will eventually find themselves surrounded by people who don't support them and have nothing to say or contribute. Being an authority or boss actually comes with no benefits of persuasion. Conversely a boss or authority that truly cares for his or her people and is a true leader have proven time and again to be the DNA of high performing visionary companies.
